If you keep getting 'request timed out' responses. It gives an indication of a weak signal; from your connecting device.

4. Unsuccessful Ping:

Let's say, you're not receiving any feedback at all. Examples of such; are when the prompt bluntly states "request timed out."

This situation confirms that the device, or webpage that you're hoping to connect to, Is off line. Meaning it's incapable of transmitting and receiving signals.
